I spent many years playing in a variety of groups; a large portion of that time was spent on the road. At over 300 shows per year I still felt like something was lacking. When the show was over, I would lie in the bed in my hotel room feeling totally alone and empty. I thought that the meaning of success equated to being popular and having a good source of income. I didn’t understand the meaning of my existence. I tried to fill the emptiness in my life with people, money, and things. People can let you down, money doesn’t buy happiness, and things can get old and break- none of these brought lasting happiness. I was looking for fulfillment and purpose in life in the wrong places. I found out that my purpose is found in God, a relationship with Him brings meaning and purpose to our lives. It is my hope that I can make a positive impact on others by sharing my story.
